Description
Ceramide Liquid, 20%
Ceramide LC S-20 is a ceramide ingredient in a Liquid Crystal Structure form with a 20% active concentration, developed using advanced liquid crystal technology by Macrocare, South Korea. It is designed to mimic the natural structure of ceramides found in the outermost layer of human skin.
This product is formulated to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and enhance cell adhesion in the stratum corneum. It also helps deliver long-lasting moisture while providing a smooth, non-greasy feel.
Ideal for individuals with dry or sensitive skin, as well as those who need effective skin repair and protection from external aggressors.

Ceramide LC S-20 stands out with its Liquid Crystal Technology, which mimics the multi-lamellar structure of natural ceramides in human skin. This technology allows it to dissolve easily in water while maintaining a micro liquid crystal structure when incorporated into cosmetic formulations.
Ceramides are the most essential lipids in the outermost layer of the skin, accounting for 40–65% of total skin lipids. They play a crucial role in forming the skin’s protective barrier. With a high ceramide concentration of 20%, this ingredient helps replenish depleted ceramides in the skin, reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and reinforce the skin barrier. It also provides a smooth and soft texture without the greasiness typical of silicone-based products.
With a melting point of 50–55°C and a pH of 7.0–7.5, close to that of the skin, Ceramide LC S-20 is well-suited for formulating rich moisturizers and intensive skin-repair products.
Active Ingredient: Ceramide PC-108 (Ceramide)
Structure and Composition:
Ceramide is a lipid with a unique structure, consisting of a long-chain fatty acid linked to sphingosine. In this product, ceramide is arranged in a Liquid Crystal Structure along with other components such as cholesterol, cholesteryl isostearate, squalane, and fatty alcohols to mimic the multi-lamellar structure of lipids in the outermost layer (stratum corneum) of human skin.
