HydroSal® SalCool

HydroSal® SalCool (HS SC) : is an innovative cooling agent designed using advanced HydroSal® encapsulation technology. It contains three types of cooling actives (Triple Cooling Actives) encapsulated within sub-micron spheres. This technology helps deliver the cooling agents directly to the sensory nerve endings in the lower layers of the skin and releases them continuously and sequentially, resulting in a long-lasting cooling sensation that is significantly more sustained than conventional menthol. Importantly, it is odorless.

Sample Preparation:
A leave-on formula was prepared containing both HS SC and free menthol at the same concentration (1%).

Application:
The products were applied to the inner forearm of the test participants.

Evaluation:
Participants rated the cooling intensity on a scale of 0–5 at regular intervals over a 60-minute period after application.


Test Results

  • During the first 30 minutes, both HS SC and free menthol produced a similar cooling sensation, with peak intensity scores around 4.5.
