Description of Active ingredients
Pomegranate is a fruit that contains high polyphenol with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Pomegranate extract is an extract for cosmeceutical products, skin creams, as it contains a high concentration of phenolic. Those substances are anthocyahins, 3-glucosides, 5,5-diglucosides, ellagitannins and ellagic acid. The ellagitannins are hydrolyzable polyphenols which are decomposed into ellagic acid under acidic conditions, helping to nourish the skin, making the skin brighter and whiter.
Ellagic acid (C14 H6 O8) is a strong skin-whitening phenolic compounds natural ellagic acid contained in pomegranate extract has tyrosinase inhibition in comparable to that of arbutin. It is a reactive oxygen species scavenger and has potent anti-oxidant properties which results in ah inhibition of peroxidation in the skin Pomegranate extract contains strong lightening effect by the contribution of ellagic acid.
