Comparative studies have shown that Alpha-Arbutin is up to 10 times more effective at inhibiting melanin production than Beta-Arbutin, while also offering superior stability. Alpha-Arbutin does not degrade even at temperatures up to 100°C, whereas Beta-Arbutin begins to break down at temperatures above 60°C.
